Help removing and preventing Dialers

A dialer is a software that sets up an external connection for a computer. Usually using a modem to communicate with the phone wires.
When you are on dial-up, you need one but you want it to connect you to your ISP(Internet Service Provider).

Malicious dialers and automated phone dialers are those who instead using your ISP number, they dial to an expensive number or they make even long distance calls. This kind of dialers get into your computer usually when you visit untrusted sites such as porn, mp3, etc. They come stealthed under other names such as sexyscreensaver.exe or britneyspears.exe so unexperienced internet users could get tricked. Trojans and ActiveX is also used to spread this kind of dialers.
Popular anti-spyware applications are usually able to get rid of these dialers but it is very important for any user to understand what is happening with his computer and where he dials in order to connect to internet and never use any other numbers which can be very expensive. Some popular autodialers are called: AsianRaw Dialer, GoIN, TIBS, IBS.

So whenever you see that your computers dials unwanted number, you must run your antivirus or quickly download some antispyware software.
