Hardware keyloggers
Hardware keyloggers can be used to log all keystroke activities. They
have some internal memory which can log every pressed key while it is
inserted between the keyboard and the computer. They work with both USB
and PS/2 keyboards.
The big advantage of the hardware keyloggers is that they log everything
since the moment computer is turned on, they log even the BIOS
passwords. So beware parents who protect the computer for excessive
children usage, by adding a BIOS password. Your kid may at some point
get a hardware keylogger and grab the password.
The disadvantage over the software keyloggers is that they require
phisical installation, which makes this impossible for remote install
and also they are not so stealthed, but still most won't notice them.
